Green Chemicals Required In K-12 Schools

Green cleaning is popular in many facilities, but in K-12 schools in seven states, it is a requirement.
Legislation varies by state, but bills in Illinois and Hawaii require green general-purpose and carpet care chemicals. In addition to these products in New York and Connecticut, floor finishes and strippers must also be green.
Nevada, on the other hand, only recognizes green floor care products.
Finally, bills in Maryland and Iowa do not specify types of products, but acknowledges those certified by Green Seal, Carpet and Rug Institute, EPA and EcoLogo.
