In April, Acme Paper & Supply Co. welcomed industry professionals to its Annual Innovation Showcase, a signature event spotlighting the latest in facility maintenance, hygiene, and sanitation technology. This year’s showcase emphasized solutions that enhance sustainability, improve operational efficiency, and raise standards of cleanliness in commercial environments. From robotic floor cleaners to ergonomically designed hygiene stations, the event featured forward-thinking products designed to meet the evolving needs of facility managers and cleaning professionals. Attendees had the chance to interact with these emerging technologies and equipment, attend live demonstrations, and gain insight into how new tools and systems are transforming facility care across a variety of industries.
Among the many innovations showcased was a modular workstation system designed specifically for the cleaning of operating rooms in hospitals. Engineered to optimize organization and reduce cross-contamination, this compact system features color-coded drawers, integrated waste compartments, and a locking cabinet to secure chemicals.
Sustainability was another dominant theme, with several products emphasizing responsible resource usage. One item in particular that received a lot of attention was a paper hand towel solution that minimizes waste through one-at-a-time dispensing. The towel’s compact design enables high absorbency with fewer sheets, and its compatibility with hygienic dispensing units makes it a favorite for high-traffic restrooms seeking LEED-qualifying options.
Then, there was a no-touch hand sanitizer dispenser that features a sleek, space-saving profile and reliable motion sensing. Engineered for quick, clean installation, the wall-mounted unit delivers a consistent dose, promoting hand hygiene compliance in public and workplace restrooms alike. The sealed refill offers batteries on every refill.
Perhaps the most cutting-edge product featured, though, was an autonomous floor-cleaning robot equipped with UVGI (ultraviolet germicidal irradiation) capabilities. Designed and built for large facilities such as airports, schools, healthcare, and warehouses, the machine combines robotic navigation with deep sanitization technology to kill pathogens on hard floors. Making this item even more unique is real-time reporting and remote monitoring, which allow managers to validate cleaning outcomes and reallocate labor for increased productivity.
Finally, there was a high-efficiency vacuum line that generated some buzz. Developed for better air quality and ergonomic performance, this line of vacuum prioritizes user comfort while offering multi-stage filtration to capture fine particles and allergens. Lightweight and quiet, the units support extended use in environments like schools and hotels, where both cleanliness and noise control are essential. They also feature a multi-stage HEPA filtration system, making them suitable for use in LEED-certified buildings and other spaces with strict air quality requirements.
This year’s Innovation Showcase once again reinforced Acme Paper & Supply Co.'s commitment to bringing high-performance, sustainable solutions to our customers, as well as underscored Acme’s role as a leader in delivering forward-thinking and innovative products. With a clear emphasis on health, safety, and operational excellence, the featured products demonstrated how the sanitation industry continues to evolve, meeting modern challenges with smart design and advanced technology. We’re already on the lookout for next year's innovations!
