It’s no secret that building service contractors and in-house service providers have embraced the green cleaning movement. According to 2009 surveys, 81 percent of BSCs and 75 percent of ISPs use green products.
When creating a green program, most cleaning professionals start by transitioning to green chemicals.
For BSCs, 79 percent use green glass cleaners, 80 percent use green restroom cleaner and 84 percent use green multi-surface cleaners.
ISPs have similar results: 82 percent use green glass cleaners, 82 percent also use green restroom cleaners; and 80 percent use green multi-surface cleaners.
After general-purpose chemicals, the majority of both BSCs and ISPs will then expand their program to include green carpet chemicals, paper products and microfiber.
