High speed burnishers, whether electric or propane-powered, are powerful, durable machines that can give new life to most hard floor surfaces. They commonly are 1500-2000 RPM, with a 20-inch burnishing path, and have floating adjustable handles for optimal control as the user is guided over floors he or she is polishing. Some capture dust in bags to provide a healthier work environment. A few larger burnishers allow users to stand and ride on the machines.
Matching the right burnishing pad and finish with the job — whether it’s removing black scuff marks, restoring shine or reducing airborne dust — is essential to proper high-speed burnishing.
