Fragrance strength will lesson over time. So, to keep restrooms always smelling fresh and clean, cleaning staffs can consider fragrance-layering their odor control devices.
Wall-mounted air fresheners, urinal mats and urinal screens should all be matched to the same fragrance. Then stagger the change-out date of each product. For example, replace scented screens on the first of the month; reload cartridges in wall-metered units on the 15th of the month; and change out urinal mats as needed when the product becomes oversaturated. That way as screens start to lose their fragrance, the newly replaced wall cartridge will make up for any diminishing smell.
The fragrance in all these products typically last about 30 days.
