4M Building Solutions announced that it has acquired Bluegrass Commercial Cleaning, a provider of commercial cleaning and facility services based in Mayfield, Kentucky.

The acquisition was announced jointly by Leonard Carder, CEO of 4M Building Solutions, and Tim Murch, CBSE, a 4M owner. The deal expands 4M's presence into Western Kentucky and its reach into Northwestern Tennessee and Southern Illinois; markets Bluegrass has served for over three decades.

Bluegrass Commercial Cleaning was originally established in 1995 as Angie’s Cleaning Service. Jared and Christy Baker acquired the company in 2015, and it was rebranded under its current name in 2017. The husband-and-wife Baker team built the business into a trusted commercial cleaning partner in the region. Bluegrass specializes in office cleaning, deep cleaning and disinfection, floor care, church cleaning, medical office cleaning, construction clean-up, and move-in/move-out cleaning.

"Bluegrass Commercial Cleaning is a values-driven company with deep roots in the Mayfield community," says Carder. "Their commitment to quality, customer service, and community values aligns well with 4M's mission. We're proud to welcome their clients and team members into the 4M family as we continue our growth across the region."

Bluegrass has built a strong local reputation over its 30-year history, earning an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. All team members will transition to 4M, ensuring continuity of service for a roster of more than 120 clients across the region.

Jon Kyle, Bluegrass’ Director of Operations, will join 4M as District Manager, covering markets in Western Kentucky, Northwestern Tennessee, and Southern Illinois.

“Growing Bluegrass into what it is today has been a great privilege," shares Jared Baker, Owner of Bluegrass Commercial Cleaning. “We wanted to find a partner who would maintain that presence in the community. Just as important, joining a national organization like 4M opens real growth opportunities for our team that we couldn't offer on our own. While Christy and I are stepping away to focus on our other ventures, we leave knowing our team and clients are in good hands.”

This acquisition marks 4M Building Solutions' 43rd since its founding in 1978, reflecting its strategy of partnering with strong regional operators across the country. 17 of those followed a significant late-2023 investment from O2 Investment Partners, a Midwest-based private equity firm focused on value-driven growth.
