The winner of the Contracting Profits Emerging Leader Award is someone 40 years or younger who demonstrates excellence, is making positive contributions to the contract cleaning industry, and is viewed as a rising star in the industry. Brian Harris, Regional Manager for the Albany, New York region of Janitronics Facility Services, is the winner of this year’s award.
With nearly 10 years at the company, Brian represents the third generation of the Harris family at Janitronics. He has seen steady growth within the company, from his early days as a training coordinator to now leading as regional manager, overseeing the organization's critical and highly technical operations.
“Receiving this award has given me a moment to pause and truly appreciate the journey that led me here, the time put in, the challenges that pushed me to grow, and the support system at work and at home,” says Brian.
As a leader, Brian is focused on helping to shape the future of the organization. His peers say he achieves this by blending tradition and forward-thinking in everything he does.
“He honors the company’s values while constantly pushing for innovation and improvement,” says Abby Harris, Marketing Coordinator at Janitronics. “His commitment to excellence is clear—he holds a CBSE certification and has led critical audits for quality management systems, Cleaning Industry Management Standards, and internal estimation processes, all of which have strengthened the company’s quality and customer satisfaction standards.”
Brian was also crucial in developing Janitronics’ training department, expanding and ensuring that the team keeps up with industry demands and trends.
Abby says, “Brian is always looking ahead—whether it’s integrating new technologies or refining internal systems, he’s focused on keeping the company at the forefront of the industry.”
Beyond his work at Janitronics, Brian serves on the board of the Cleaning Industry Research Institute, a nonprofit organization that develops science-based cleaning methods.
“His leadership there reflects the same values he brings to his day-to-day work: integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to the future of the industry and Janitronics,” says Abby Harris.
Brian is grateful for the acknowledgement and proud of what it represents. He says the award serves as inspiration to keep raising the bar forward.
“It’s both humbling and motivating to have my work recognized in this way, and it serves as a reminder that consistency, integrity, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way really do make an impact.”
