The Cleaning for Health Award presented by ProTeam recognizes Building Service Contractors Associated International (BSCAI) building service contractors that have Cleaning for Health programs. Cleaning for Health is a cleaning regimen that helps reduce the levels of allergens and asthma triggers in the indoor environment. A Cleaning for Health program consists of policies, procedures, and training that emphasize the impact on the health of building occupants and staff. The award goes to 4M Building Solutions, St. Louis, this year.
With over 45 years in the industry, 4M Buildings Solutions knows clean. They operate in 27 states, employ over 6,900 team members, and clean 215 million square feet of commercial space. Serving a variety of clientele, from corporate offices to assisted living facilities, 4M also emphasizes safety and health in all their facilities.
“This award represents what we strive for every day: Creating clean, healthy, and safe environments for our clients, team members, and everyone who enters the spaces we care for,” says Dan Cline, chief operating officer.
4M is dedicated to implementing Cleaning for Health in various ways. Their electrostatic disinfection services use EPA-registered products and OSHA-compliant methods that align with CDC guidance. 4M Healthcare, a specialized division for healthcare and senior living facilities, elevates hygiene while following best practices.
Some of the company’s certifications regarding indoor air quality include GREENGUARD for low-emitting, safe, and healthy chemicals, and Healthy High Performance Cleaning. Poor indoor air quality is linked to diseases, such as asthma and allergies, meaning that these certifications maintain strict requirements. 4M continues to uphold high quality cleaning that meets these rigorous standards.
4M does everything in their power to ensure they offer the very best in health and safety.
Cline says, “We’re committed to using proven processes, green products, advanced equipment, and continuous education to make Cleaning for Health not just a program, but part of our culture.”
While the products and processes set the basis, the follow-through is what makes a difference. Cline recognizes 4M’s thousands of employees for their part in the company’s success, ensuring that excellence occurs on a day-to-day basis.
“Their dedication, consistency, and pride in doing things the right way are what enable us to achieve these results.”
