San Diego-based WAXIE Sanitary Supply acquired Five Star Sanitary Products, based in Colorado Springs, Colo. Mike Carmical, WAXIE's general manager, will service the two companies' Colorado customers.

"We want to link Five Star's tenured employees and local knowledge with our technology and proven success in the industry" says Charles Wax, WAXIE president and CEO.

The acquisition brings WAXIE's total number of employees to more than 800.
