Triple S, Billerica, Massachusetts, presented its annual member awards at the 2014 Clean Team Exhibit & Conference. The event was held at Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa, Ponte Verde Beach, Florida.

The W. James Reider Award — the company’s most prestigious award — was given to David Rea of House Sanitary Supply Company, Ventura, California.

The award is presented in honor of the founding father of Triple S whose vision, leadership, loyalty and dedication paved the way for the group’s growth and development.

Several other awards presented at the conference include:

  • The Charles A. Phillips Award, which  was presented to Triple S President, Alan Sadler.

  • The President’s Award, which was presented both to Michael Tighe, Industrial Products Inc., West Boylston, Massachusetts and Frank Sciortino, Triple S zone manager – central, for new member recruitment.

  • The $1 Million Award, which was presented to Grom Inc., Ontario, California, for achieving $1 million in Triple S bill purchases.

Also presented to several members at the event were the Club 66 Awards; the RDC Member Excellence Awards; the Proprietary Systems Support Silvers Awards; and the Proprietary Support Bronze Awards.

In addition to the awards, members took part in several networking and educational programs, including Sales Force Restructuring, Healthcare Business Development, Importance of Leadership, ISSA-Value of Clean, as well as other topics relevant to the conference’s theme: “Reducing Operating Cost While Driving Revenue.”

“The opportunity to network with fellow members and key suppliers is a central element of the conference, but more importantly the members know they are going to be challenged to look at their business in a different way,” says Sadler. “They are challenged to rethink old ‘norms,’ how they are currently doing business and at the same time, reinventing their business on multiple levels.”
