Two independent, family-owned companies in the industrial laundry space have joined forces to expand their footprint and service offerings. Wildman Business Group, based in Warsaw, Indiana, announced the acquisition of Springfield Laundry, located in Springfield, Kentucky. This acquisition expands Wildman’s service area to nine locations serving more than 13,500 customers in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, and now Kentucky, with 500 employees.
“The opportunity to come together was driven by years of mutual respect between myself and Jimbo Carrico, Owner of Springfield Laundry,” said Josh Wildman, CEO of Wildman Business Group.
“With the Carrico’s need for succession planning and an alignment on our shared mindset around a personal commitment and attention to team members, community, and customers, Wildman is excited about the synergies formed and the ability to use business to change lives and glorify God by empowering people to flourish through their mission to provide products and services that keep teams and facilities clean, safe, and looking great.”
Wildman is committed to all aspects of Springfield Laundry: the plant in Springfield, the service center in Louisville, customers, and inviting all team members to stay. They are dedicated to the community of Springfield, continuing the legacy, empowering team members, and enriching those in the community where we live, work, and play.
Wildman has a commitment to remaining independent to ensure best-in-class service and preserve the culture they have intentionally built for their organizations. They will bring synergies of additional products and services to all customers, providing an excellent customer value proposition and overall growth as an independent supplier in the Midwest and Southern regions.
“This partnership provides the opportunity to accelerate our growth – not just in revenues but with investment in our people.”
Wildman’s goal is to be the preferred Midwest supplier and a destination employer, positively changing lives through business while glorifying God in the process.
Springfield Laundry Owner Jimbo Carrico has joined the broader Wildman team, managing major relationships over the Springfield and Louisville locations. Spencer Carrico has also joined the team as Assistant General Manager, focused on production and service.
Wildman has maintained their goal of at least 70 percent of promotions coming from the team with the 9 acquisitions in the last several years.
Wildman seeks to partner with other independent laundries looking for a transition to provide an alternative succession plan to large nationals, with the purpose of continuing the families’ legacies.
