More than 100 janitors who clean Marquette University in Milwaukee have received a new contract, thanks in part to union efforts.
The 120 Service Employees International Union Local 1 janitors will receive guaranteed annual wage increases and holiday overtime pay under the recently reached agreement, according to Urban Milwaukee.
The janitors believe the new three-year union contract will help them to better support their families and will improve communities throughout the city.
