Two Respected Industry Groups Join Forces
The United Group (TUG), a sales and marketing organization for jan/san, packaging, foodservice and safety product distributors, and TriMega Purchasing Association, a not-for-profit buying group serving independent office products dealers, have signed a 10-year agreement that mutually affiliates the two groups. The contract specifically allows TriMega members to become associates of The United Group, with access to TUG’s Preferred Suppliers.
The two member-owned organizations are teaming up to create opportunities for greater market diversification and increased sales for the members of both groups.
“This partnership is a natural fit, as both groups are modeled on the power of cooperative buying and both practice transparency and accountability with their members and suppliers,” stated TUG President Tobie McKown. “I’m very excited to see how TUG and TriMega can work together, sharing expertise in our respective markets in order to grow and evolve.”
“We are very excited about our affiliation with The United Group. Tobie and his team have extensive expertise and solid supplier relationships bringing a level of access to our members that is critical as they compete in these fast-growing categories. We look forward to closely working with them for the benefit of the member owners of both organizations,” commented Mike Maggio, President of TriMega.
Members of The United Group and TriMega Purchasing Association were able to take advantage of their affiliate benefits starting July 1, 2018.
