Today, Oct. 21, is “Thank Your Cleaner” Day, a time to reflect on the important work janitors, custodians, housekeepers and other cleaning professionals do to keep society healthy and safe.
The annual event is worth celebrating every year, but in 2020 its importance cannot be overstated. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the entire world in so many different ways, making it abundantly clear that, while cleaning does improve appearance, its most important because of what it does for everyone’s health.
Perhaps the best way to give back today is to provide a socially-distanced “thank you” to the person or team that clean offices, restaurants, schools and other properties. A well-throughout email, letter or card is also a nice way to say thanks.
