A new market study has been released showing that lead batteries are the most recycled consumer product in the U.S.
The National Recycling Rate Study was published by SmithBucklin Statistics Group (commissioned by Battery Council International) and was designed to calculate the recycling rate of lead available from lead batteries. It revealed that between 2012 and 2016, lead batteries are recycled at a rate of 99.3 percent.
According to the report, this demonstrates the exceptional sustainability of lead batteries and the role they play in environmentally friendly applications.
