Study: COVID-19 Is 5 Times Deadlier Than Flu
Coronavirus, more commonly referred to as COVID-19, is five times more deadly than the flu according to a new study by the VA in St. Louis and Washington University.
Reported on by KMOV4, the study concluded that people with COVID-19 are also four times more likely to need a ventilator to breath than those who have the flu. Those with COVID-19 are also more likely to suffer a kidney injury, stroke or septic shock than those with the flu.
These findings were compiled after comparing more than 12,000 people hospitalized with the flu to more than 3,600 people hospitalized with COVID-19.
