Spectra254, a provider of UVC light disinfection solutions, announced that it has expanded its operations following two successful years in the ultraviolet light disinfection market. This includes the promotion of Dennis Boyle to President of Spectra254, the addition of several new employees, and the grand opening of new corporate headquarters and testing facilities.

With its success in the UVC light disinfection market, Spectra254 has named Dennis Boyle, former Spectra254 Vice President of Global Customer Management, as its new president. As president, Boyle manages Spectra254’s global presence, product development and all sales teams. He has more than 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, including experience at Siemens AG, where he managed a $100 million lab business.

The company has also expanded its sales and marketing force with the hiring of Robert Hodgson, the company’s new South Central Regional Sales Manager. Hodgson possesses 18 years of experience in the medical device industry spanning several disciplines, including health monitoring, cardiac networking systems, anesthesia and respiratory care, and emergency medicine. His previous successes include increasing revenue significantly for several companies and consistent recognition as a top 10 sales performer.

Scott Nuetzel, Spectra254’s Southeast Regional Sales Manager, joins the company with 15 years of sales and management experience in the clinical and research laboratory supply and diagnostic markets. Most recently Nuetzel worked for research company Envigo and also for VWR International, a provider of products, services and solutions to laboratory and production facilities.

Hodgson and Nuetzel join fellow new employees Sheila Chalfie, Spectra254’s Product Manager, Chuck Overbeck, Southwest Regional Sales Manager, and Jack O’Connor, Northeast Regional Sales Manager for Spectra254, who were hired earlier this year.

“With the addition of Robert and Scott and with the opening of our new headquarters, Spectra254 is positioning itself for continued success in providing the highest level of UVC light disinfection available today to healthcare facilities and patients around the world,” said Boyle.

Spectra254’s corporate headquarters and testing facilities have recently been relocated to 21 Commerce Drive in Danbury, Conn. The newly renovated 30,000 square foot facility houses Spectra254’s corporate, operational and sales offices, along with a testing and assembly facility, where all Spectra254 devices are tested prior to shipment.
