Spartan Chemical Company announced that John Swigart has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective April 15, 2026.

Swigart began his career with Spartan Chemical in 1999, working in various areas in the plant before transitioning into sales as the Distributor Relations Manager. He advanced to Vice President in October 2005 and was named Executive Vice President in April 2009. For the past 15 years, Swigart has served as President and will now also serve as CEO.

"I am honored to serve as Chief Executive Officer and look forward to continuing to work alongside the talented leadership team we have in place here at Spartan Chemical," says Swigart. "I am fortunate and proud to lead a company with a strong culture and tradition that fosters deep partnerships with our selective network of distribution."

Swigart will continue to play a pivotal role as the Chairman of the Board for Spartan Chemical Company.
