Servicon, a provider of custodial, environmental and maintenance services for complex facilities, announced its sponsorship of the ISSA Hygieia Network Mentoring Program, an initiative designed to support the success of women in the cleaning industry.
The program facilitates one-to-one mentoring relationships, connecting women seeking career development and enhancement opportunities with experienced industry leaders. The curriculum provides step-by-step guidelines, tips, activities and resources for both the mentee and mentor.
“Thanks to our corporate sponsors, ISSA Hygieia Network can continue its mission in advancing and retaining the many talented women within the cleaning industry through our numerous programs and initiatives,” said Linda Silverman, Maintex President and ISSA Hygieia Network Co-chairwoman. “Our new Gold Partner, Servicon, shares Hygieia Network’s beliefs and values, and we’re so grateful for this generous donation.”
Servicon President and CEO Laurie Sewell, who began her career in the cleaning industry in the 1980s, added, “The ISSA Hygieia Network Mentoring Program is an excellent platform for creating critical professional relationships, and, it’s not just the mentee who benefits. It also provides an opportunity for the mentor to grow and positively impact the industry overall.”
Named after the Greek goddess of cleaning and hygiene, the ISSA Hygieia Network is a signature ISSA Charity dedicated to advancing and retaining women in the cleaning industry. Committed to developing female professionals at all levels and experience, the network is a vibrant, worldwide community open to ISSA members of any gender.
