Roadnet Technologies Hires Marketing Manager
Roadnet Technologies, the Baltimore-based vehicle routing and transportation management software company, has selected Valerie Kent as Marketing Manager. She was formerly Director of Special Events for Mercy Health Foundation, an affiliate of Mercy Health Services in Baltimore.
In her new position, Ms. Kent will oversee the day-to-day marketing functions, including the oversight of all advertising, collateral development, public relations, special events and social media activities. Interfacing with key departments of Roadnet Technologies, specifically product management and customer support, she will design and execute marketing campaigns that support the short and long-term marketing and sales initiatives of the vehicle routing and scheduling company.
“Valerie brings an extremely strong and well-rounded background in marketing and brand development to Roadnet Technologies, and is the ideal professional to provide leadership and direction to this key area of our company,” explained Len Kennedy, Chief Executive Officer of Roadnet Technologies. “She has demonstrated a successful track record of developing and executing diverse marketing campaigns, and we were attracted to her overall industry skill-set.”
Ms. Kent brings more than seventeen years of diversified marketing experience. She has also worked within the marketing departments of Arbitron; the R.H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland at College Park; Williams Scotsman and FILA Sports in an array of management level positions.
Ms. Kent earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Spanish from Loyola College’s Sellinger School of Business and Management, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Baltimore’s Merrick School of Business and Management. She has served as Event Chair for BreastFest for the past nine years, and is Vice-Chair and Founding Board Member of The Tyanna Foundation. She presently resides in Baltimore.
