The Procyon carpet cleaning line has been awarded Preferred Vendor status by the non-profit Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools (PC4HS) Consortium, Inc.
Procyon products were tested in an actual school environment and determined to be helpful for custodial staffs to gain mastery of maintenance budgets, improve cleaning processes, health, and the triple bottom line — people, planet and profits.
“Our field testing of the Procyon carpet care products in schools shows that they perform extremely well without harsh VOCs, an important consideration when dealing with children and sensitive populations in K-12 facilities,” said Rex Morrison, founder and president of PC4HS. “Procyon Products also carry many certifications and recognitions including the Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI) Seal of Approval, Green Seal’s GS-37, and Wool Safe. The product has additionally garnered impressive support from carpet producers such as DuPont, Allied Fibers, Monsanto, and Collins & Aikman.”
Preferred vendors are normally those whose products were tested by the International Executive Housekeepers Association’s (IEHA) High Performance Cleaning Product (HPCP) Testing Program in conjunction with the University of MA Lowell TURI Lab, and have met the HPCP program’s rigorous standards and proved product efficacy. Carpet care products are the exception since PC4HS relies upon other forms of validation for these products.
Within PC4HS, there are three tiers of membership, General, Corporate and Preferred Vendor — as well as certificates for each level of membership.
