Staff recruitment and retention challenges alongside a stagnant labor pool have impacted training processes, consistent cleaning systems, and operational efficiency. For frontline teams, the constant churn can lead to burnout. In fact, over half of cleaning professionals experienced burnout due to increasing workplace demands.
Cleaning crews are the key to functional and successful cleaning operations. Often referred to as “unsung heroes,” they provide a public health service with little recognition from the people who benefit. That is why national holidays, such as this month’s International Cleaners Day, are so important. For commercial cleaning executives, it is not enough to celebrate these essential employees these days alone.
