Pilot Chemical Company, a privately owned and independent global specialty chemical manufacturer, has named Jesse Jefferis Vice President of Growth and Innovation. Jefferis brings to the role 25 years of specialty chemical experience spanning growth strategy, business development, innovation, commercialization, and technical leadership.

Jefferis leads Pilot’s enterprise growth agenda, overseeing innovation and commercialization, market development, technical service, strategic partnerships, and inorganic growth. He reports to Pilot Chemical Chief Executive Officer Christian MacIver.

Jefferis most recently served as Global Director of Sustainable Growth and innovation at Stepan. Earlier in his career, he held commercial, business development, and technical leadership roles at BASF, HFI, and Colgate-Palmolive. He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University.

Jefferis is based at Pilot’s headquarters in West Chester, Ohio, and its Technical and Innovation Center in Sharonville, Ohio.
