Ole Miss Names New Facilities Management Director
Casey Lauer has been named director of the Facilities Management Department at the University of Mississippi. According to Mississippi Business Journal reports, the engineering and facilities operations expert will be responsible for growth, development and improvement throughout campus.
Lauer transferred from Kansas State University, where he spent four years as assistant vice president of facilities operations and physical plant infrastructure. He also served as KSU’s first director of energy and environment program.
According to reports, Lauer officially joined Ole Miss on Sept. 10. At that time, he began overseeing the department’s $31.6 million budget and nearly 275 employees. He replaces Ashton Pearson, who served the university for 11 years.
