The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is not only enhancing their Voluntary Protection Programs, but they are expanding other recognition programs to meet employers where they are. The overall goal of the upgrades is to increase employer's pathway to safety.
According to OSHA, these programs help businesses strengthen their safety practices, reduce injury rates, and conduct regular self-evaluations – while minimizing the need for routine inspections.
To further support employers, OSHA is increasing its efforts through the agency’s On-Site Consultation Program. Celebrating 50 years of success, this program provides no-cost, confidential safety and health services for small and medium-sized businesses seeking to improve their workplace safety culture.
