Tom Sellars, CEO of Sellars Absorbent Materials, has been recognized as a Top Impact CEO.

Tom Sellars, CEO of Sellars Absorbent Materials—a Milwaukee-based manufacturer and marketer of wipes, absorbents, and towel and tissue products—has been named to the MO 100 Top Impact CEO list.

The award recognizes 100 CEOs who leverage capitalism to generate positive social and environmental change, demonstrating that every transaction represents an opportunity to create positive outcomes for all stakeholders. Evaluating companies on their “Force for Good”—one-year sales growth, revenue, and B Impact Assessment—organizations are given an overall score.

Many of Sellars’ stock keeping units (SKUs) use recycled content. In fact, the company has a history of using its technology to develop high-performing products from recycled materials. Also, as part of its manufacturing process, Sellars recycles its own production waste to create some of its absorbents. Presently, three of the company's top-selling products contain recycled input.

“At Sellars, we have a long-term commitment to our people, our customers, and the planet,” says Tom Sellars. “For our employees, we provide family-supporting jobs, pathways for advancement, generous benefits, a program that provides incentives for homebuying, plus monthly attendance and quarterly performance bonuses for our manufacturing employees. For our customers, we produce a variety of durable, cost-effective products that utilize recycled content so they’re environmentally friendly.”
