Maintex—a Southern California-based chemical manufacturer and janitorial supply distributor—is proud to announce its 66th anniversary.
This milestone holds special significance for the family-owned business. Founded in 1960 by Ralph and Marilyn Silverman, the family drove across the country from Queens, New York to establish their new venture in Los Angeles. The final leg of the trip took them along the iconic Route 66, leading directly into Southern California, where Maintex continues to thrive today.
The company evolved from a specialty chemical startup into a premier facility solutions partner with nearly 200,000 square feet of warehouse space and a robust manufacturing facility. Just as that highway once served as a primary artery for American progress, Maintex has spent the last 66 years serving as a vital link in the supply chain for the public sector, healthcare, and hospitality industries.
Today, the company remains independently held and is managed by the second and third generations of the Silverman family: CEO Stu Silverman, Executive Chair Linda Silverman, and President and COO Danny Silverman.
While the industry and technology have changed since that original drive, the Maintex mission remains the same: putting people first on every mile of the journey.
