Heavy is the head that wears the crown - or job title - in the modern workplace.

Just 30 percent of workers who are not managers today want to become one soon, according to LinkedIn's latest Workforce Confidence Survey.

LinkedIn, and perhaps the survey itself, doesn't indicate why so few people want to become managers today, but it's fair to assume the cons simply outweigh the pros. Work is stressful, and is often times harder the more people one leads.

The survey also found seven in 10 U.S. employees might leave their job if they had a bad manager. This matches with much of the reporting done between our cleaning publications. Human resources professionals, business consultants, and business owners often speak about the importance of good workplace culture.
