Bob Robinson Jr., who has been a member of the Kaivac team since the company was founded, has just been promoted as the company's chief growth office (CGO).
The position, "chief growth officer," is relatively new for many companies, having been created in the past decade. However, compared to CEO, CFO, and CMO, some now believe this "C" is becoming one of the most important "Cs" of all.
"This is because the entire focus of the CGO is business growth," says Robinson. "A CGO is expected to be one step ahead of industry trends, detect future end-customer needs, and make sure the company has developed products that address those needs."
Robinson has held several sales and operations positions at Kaivac. He also was a sales representative for a jan/san distribution company, and worked for Coverall, a janitorial franchise, for nearly two years.
