JaniJobs enhances its platform through the addition of Weighted Scoring Capabilities to the Quality Checks application, as well as the launch of its Work Order functionality. These features help cleaning companies streamline contractor management, assign work more efficiently, and offer payments to cleaners.
The Work Order launch comes amidst growing competition in the labor market as commercial cleaning companies seek more flexible workforce models and creative ways to recruit and retain contract labor.
This new application enables companies to post open work orders for approved contractors to claim or directly assign jobs to specific contractors already in their network. Once work is completed and reviewed, cleaners can receive immediate payment. The functionality provides more scheduling flexibility and faster access to earnings.
“Speed and flexibility are important factors in attracting and retaining contract cleaners,” says Archie Heinl, Founder and President of JaniJobs. “Work Order functionality gives companies a simple and effective way to manage contractor relationships while helping cleaners access work and get paid faster.”
The addition of Weighted Scoring Capabilities will also support building service contractors (BSCs) and in-house service providers by allowing them to assign different levels of importance to inspection tasks and facility areas. Now, higher values can be assigned to critical areas—like lobbies, restrooms, healthcare spaces, or other high-visibility and compliance-focused environments—reflecting accurate cleaning priorities and client expectations. This feature also gives commercial cleaning managers greater transparency into how scores are calculated, which helps teams communicate performance expectations more clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
"Not every cleaning task carries the same level of importance," notes Heinl. "Weighted scoring helps cleaning teams create more meaningful quality scores by prioritizing the areas that matter most to clients and operations."
