Jail Inmates Earn Cleaning Certification

A number of inmates at the DuPage County Jail in Wheaton, Illinois are now certified cleaners after completing a course put on by ISSA’s Cleaning Management Institute (CMI).

CMI put eight inmates through a six-week course focused on specialized cleaning procedures featuring cleaning demonstrations, ISSA announced in a statement.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Department told ISSA that the certification will give the inmates a better opportunity to gain employment once they complete their sentence.
