Some cool building in Amsterdam

Interclean Amsterdam, which was originally scheduled to take place in May 2020, will be hosting a virtual trade show Nov. 3 through  Nov. 6. The international online event will include more than 40 unique expert sessions, webinars, discussion panels and demonstrations, all with a goal to provide education and inspiration to grow cleaning businesses.

Programs are being added daily, but some highlights include:

• How will technology change our lives?

Held on Tuesday, Nov. 3, trendwatcher and futurist Richard van Hooijdonk will take facility managers on a journey to the world of tomorrow. Attendees will get a glimpse of what the world will look like in 2030, the impact of technology and how organizations can successfully adapt to the new normal.

• Why environmental hygiene can't be ignored

Healthcare-associated infections are responsible for millions of deaths every year and affect hundreds of millions of patients. On Wednesday, Nov. 4, Professor Didier Pittet will talk about how the healthcare environment can be a major contributor to the spread of such infections and why it is crucial to focus energy on this neglected topic.

• Discussion panel: Future of digitalization and robotization

Always looking to find more efficient and effective ways of operating, cleaning businesses are turning once again to technology. Paul Harleman invited Essity, Ice Robotics and CleanJack to participate in a panel discussion Nov. 6 on the future of technology and robotization.
