ABCO Cleaning Products, a leader in sustainable cleaning tools, is celebrating America Recycles Day on Nov. 15 by introducing its innovative line of Natura brooms and brushes. The brushes are constructed from 100 percent post-consumer plastic waste. ABCO anticipates recycling 2.1 million plastic bottles in 2020 through production of these products.
“America Recycles Day is a terrific opportunity to spotlight how using reclaimed material protects our planet,” said Carlos Albir, president, ABCO. “Not only does using recycled plastic reduce waste in landfills, but it also eliminates the greenhouse gas emissions and habitat disruption associated with extracting virgin materials.”
ABCO manufactures its Natura brooms and brushes using an environmentally-friendly process to remove plastic bottles and bottle caps from landfills and recycle them. One large Natura broom is produced using eight plastic bottles and 250 bottle caps.
“At ABCO, we’re committed to reducing landfill waste by repurposing as much plastic as possible in all of our products,” said Albir. “With our line of Natura brooms and brushes, and upcoming product launches, we anticipate expanding our use of plastic bottles by 25 percent in 2021.”
