The FootMate System by Gordon Brush sponsored The City Youth Exposure's Walk for Change, the Chairman's Challenge Run/Walk held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Drake Stadium on the UCLA campus.
"We are delighted to be a major sponsor of this important event," said Gordon Brush President and CEO, Kenneth Rakusin.
The purpose of The City Youth Exposure's Walk for Change, the Chairman's Challenge Run/Walk is to raise Diabetes awareness, encourage regular exercise and promote healthy living.
"Raising diabetes awareness for all, especially for our youth, is critical to saving lives. FootMate is a natural fit for this event," notes Mr. Rakusin.
The Walk for Change will include the Chairman's Challenge, a one hour walk/run throughout the UCLA campus and on the Drake Stadium track, will coincide with the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational. The Walk for Change event will feature diabetes health expert, Dr. Emmanuel Onwutuebe and a host of renowned athletes, including Jackie Joyner-Kersee. This is a non-competitive fundraising event benefiting City Youth Exposure, a non-profit organization that introduces youth to people, places and things that they would not normally or easily experience in their daily lives.
