The Environmental Protection Agency, on Aug. 9, released a newly revised and edited Chapter 13 of its Pesticide Label Review Manual, which addresses the storage and disposal statements on product labels of pesticide products including antimicrobial products such as disinfectants and sanitizers.
According to ISSA's Bill Balek, Chapter 13 was updated to reflect a 2006 rule that set requirements for the design and labeling of pesticide containers to ensure their safe storage and disposal, and is part of an ongoing effort by the Agency to fully revise the manual. At the present, EPA is working to edit four additional revised chapters to the label review manual. The revised Chapter 13 is available here.
