DMS Facility Services Names New VP of Operations

DMS Facility Services announces the promotion of Garin Shepard to Vice President of Operations, Northern California. 

Shepard brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the janitorial and facility services industry, managing operations and major projects for many nationally recognized organizations throughout Northern California, Nevada, and Utah. Formerly, he served as General Manager of Northern California operations for DMS Facility Services, where he oversaw operations, business development, administration, and client partnerships across a multi-state facilities services portfolio.

In his new position as Vice President of Operations, Shepard will continue to drive operational excellence, develop high-performing teams, and deliver consistent, high-quality service solutions for complex commercial environments. He brings extensive experience to the role, managing multi-site operations, classrooms, data centers, large-scale service transitions, staffing strategies, operational startups, quality assurance programs, KPI development, labor budgeting, and safety compliance initiatives.

Known for his hands-on leadership style and strategic mindset, he is a strong advocate for innovation within the facility services industry, helping implement technology-driven solutions, automation strategies, and modern operational processes to improve service delivery and efficiency.

Shepard earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Menlo College, graduating Cum Laude, and has completed advanced leadership and industry training through organizations including Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), ISSA, and Vistage Worldwide. He is currently a member of IFMA-EB and CREW-EB.
