ERP Software provider DDI System announced the latest enhancement to Inform ERP and its real-time eCommerce solution with dynamic product content from Essendant. This next level integration allows JanSan, Paper & Packaging distributors to easily import essential content from the Essendant product database to update existing product attributes or add new products to enhance their offering.
DDI’s turn-key Essendant integration is free for current Inform eCommerce clients. “We know the value of being able to integrate with rich content is a necessity for today’s distributor. At DDI, we look for every opportunity to help our users better compete in multi-channel commerce and exceptional product content is a critical component to that mix,” says DDI’s Mobile Product Manager, Rachel Maley.
With Essendant ECDB 2.0, distributors can seamlessly select the categories and subcategories of Essendant products to import relative to their business. Upon selection, items will import to the chosen Product Line, Buy Line and Price Group. The integration with Essendant allows distributors to map several fields to their product display including the Product Description, Product Image, MFG Number, UPC Number, Web Description, Product Volume, and Product Weight.
“We are always looking for ways to help distributors improve their product offerings and eCommerce presence. Adding enriched product content to your ERP system provides a better overall offering to customers whether they come into their store or are searching for the right item online. The Essendant direct import to Inform ERP streamlines the adoption of these important product details and helps distributors to improve the ordering process and stand tall against digital competitors,” adds Maley.
