A senior advertising major at Marquette University in Milwaukee has developed a wristband that makes it easier to dispense hand sanitizer on the go.
Kristen Carter's "Krisband" is sold by her new business, Carter Healthy & Wellness, reports Milwaukee-area television station Fox 6. The plastic wristband looks a lot like a watch, with the hand sanitizer dispensed out of the area where one would read the time. It's marketed as being easy, convenient and comfortable.
Carter received help creating the watch from the 707 Hub, a space at Marquette that gives students the resources they need to be innovators and entrepreneurs.
A portion of the profits from sales of the Krisband will go to nonprofits and COVID-19 relief. For a look at the watch, check out Fox 6's story here.
