A Broward County, Fla., man allegedly stole nearly $29,000 worth of electronic equipment from Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Rattan, according to an article on the Palm Beach Post website.
The man, who works for a cleaning company that’s contracted by Saint Andrew’s, is accused of stealing 48 Apple iPads and 36 charging cords worth $28,830. He was not authorized to be at the school at the time of the theft.
Surveillance video caught him arriving at the school at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday and opening classroom doors, the police report said. He allegedly left with large trash bags filled with iPads.
A database search of pawn shops revealed that 31 of the stolen 48 iPads were pawned.
