Chicago White Sox Announce Disinfecting Partnership
The Chicago White Sox and Reckitt’s Lysol Pro Solutions — Lysol’s business-to-business offering – announce via a press release a new partnership that further enhances disinfection protocols at Guaranteed Rate Field for the 2021 season and beyond. Today’s partnership announcement follows the commitment by Reckitt with Major League Baseball, announced in October 2020.
The White Sox have implemented several new disinfection protocols to help ensure the safest possible game day experience for fans visiting the ballpark. Recognizing 88 percent of consumers expect businesses to take additional measures for consumer protection, the White Sox will tap into Lysol’s industry-leading 100-plus years of germ-kill expertise and innovation to enhance the cleaning and disinfection measures at the ballpark.
"Through our enhanced protocols at Guaranteed Rate Field and the extension of the Lysol brand to the White Sox, we hope to inspire confidence among fans as they return to watch their favorite team in-person.”
By partnering with Reckitt, the White Sox trust in a science-backed, strategic approach, which offers additional reassurance to fans and staff throughout the season and beyond. The partnership includes:
- Supply of EPA-approved disinfection products, including those proven to be effective against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, to use across areas where germs are most prevalent.
- Rigorously developed protocols applied to key high-touch, high-traffic surfaces in stadium to help protect from the spread of germs on surfaces.
- Signage at the ballpark to reinforce protection and build confidence among fans.
- Dispensers with Lysol Disinfecting Wipes around the ballpark for fans to use.
“With even more fans returning to experience White Sox baseball at Guaranteed Rate Field, these products and enhanced protocols recommended by Lysol Pro Solutions will help ensure that our cleaning teams are equipped with the most effective cleaning and sanitizing solutions.”
