BSCAI Honors 4M Building Solutions With Cleaning For Health Award

The Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) honored 4M Building Solutions with the 2018 Cleaning for Health Award presented by ProTeam. The award recognizes a BSCAI building service contractor with a Cleaning for Health program that includes policies, procedures, and training that emphasizes the health of building occupants and staff. BSCAI represents a worldwide network of more than 1,000 member companies. 4M Building Solutions was selected for the award by an independent panel of industry experts.

“Along with everyone at ProTeam, I extend my congratulations to 4M Building Solutions for their accomplishments,” said ProTeam National Sales Manager Jeff Stone. “It is so important for our industry to recognize and celebrate companies who lead the way in healthy, sustainable cleaning. We hope to see more building service contractors prioritize Cleaning for Health in the future.”

Founded in 1978, 4M Building Solutions services 95 million square feet of facility space each day. The company employs over 3,000 team members and operates in 14 states. The underlying mission of 4M’s business is to create a safe, healthy environment for their clients’ stakeholders whether they be employees, tenants, or customers. A lack of cleanliness not only reflects on 4M’s reputation and that of their clients but can contribute to a number of health issues. 4M’s commitment to Cleaning for Health is evident in the approach they take to their cleaning programs. Starting at the root by using products and procedures that are certified by Green Seal, GreenGuard, and the Carpet and Rug Institute, and encompassing all those efforts with extensive training to ensure the cleanest and safest environments is something 4M is proud to do to in order to keep each person they come in contact with as healthy as possible.

Cleaning for Health is defined as a cleaning regimen that helps dramatically reduce the levels of allergens and asthma triggers in the indoor environment. The purpose is to create indoor environments where building occupants feel better and can be more productive. ProTeam supports Cleaning for Health by designing vacuums with advanced filtration systems that capture many allergens and asthma triggers, leaving behind healthier indoor air.
