BSC Honored As Top Workplace In Milwaukee
Backed by a commitment to help its employees succeed and advance within the company, MahlerClean, a building service contractor based in Brookfield, Wisconsin, has been named one of the top places to work in southeastern Wisconsin in 2019 by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Created in partnership with Energize LLC, a workplace consulting company in the Philadelphia-area, the newspaper’s annual listing honors for-profit and non-profit organizations that demonstrate positive characteristics ranging from growth opportunity to a challenging, yet rewarding work to a family-like atmosphere. Businesses are ranked based off of the replies to surveys, which ask participants to answer a series of “agree or disagree” questions on a seven-point scale. More than 1,576 companies were invited to participate.
MahlerClean is one of three companies to receive the award under the category for large employers. More than 700 people work for the company, maintaining 11 million square feet of office, industrial, medical and institutional space, according to its website.
The company says its goal is to seek out good workers and give them the opportunity to grow with the business if they so choose.
“Show up, and we’ll teach you,” says the company’s vice president, Adam Braun, in Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. “Have a good attitude, and there’s opportunities to move up to a lead, to move up to a manager. And ultimately, our goal is to get people to our operational management level.”
This isn’t the first time the company has won the award. By 2016, they had already made Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s list an impressive five times. A 2014 report by Contracting Profits magazine discussed how MaherClean’s dedication to employee satisfaction has made it one of the best places to work in the Milwaukee-area.
