The Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) President and CEO Eric R. Byer released the following statement on Congress’ passage of H.R. 1, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act:”

“Industries across the nation experienced tremendous growth following the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017. With many of these policies expiring at the end of 2025, this legislative package will extend and build upon these pro-growth provisions to help businesses large and small recover from years of high inflation, while encouraging greater job growth and investments. This includes policies important to the competitiveness of the chemical distribution industry, such as the 100 percent bonus depreciation, the research and development expensing and credit, the corporate tax rate reduction, and the pass-through business deduction.

“ACD applauds Congress for advancing this critical legislation and looks forward to the President’s signature.”
