Updates from the Leading Association for the Cleaning Industry Worldwide
ISSA/INTERCLEAN Offers New Mobile Directory, Floor Plan & Schedule
ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America 2010 attendees can get all the details they need in the palm of their hands with the new Mobile Exhibit Directory & Schedule Application (app) available to download at www.issa.com/live, starting November 1.
This app provides a floor plan linked to a searchable exhibit directory. It allows attendees to see where they are in relation to a booth they are trying to find, search for a specific company's location, and scroll through daily schedules of sessions and events.
The app is accessible for download on smart phones. If you forget to download the app before heading to the show, you can utilize ISSA's free Wifi hotspots onsite, sponsored by Advance-Ecoflex, to access www.issa.com/live.
Also available at www.issa.com/live will be updated videos, the ability to vote for the show's Best Customer Service exhibitor award, real-time attendee comments, and many other new features.

Find Suppliers, Service Providers Through ISSA's Buyer's Guide
All ISSA member companies are listed in the ISSA.com Buyers' Guide, ISSA's online member directory. This is the place to connect with fellow members and prospective vendors online. In fact, with more than 200,000 searches annually, it's the most utilized section on ISSA.com.
You're able to find who you're looking for by name, geographic range, and product or service category. In addition, if you remember a product but not the company that provides it, you can search by brand name as well.
The next time you are looking for a product, service or support, visit www.issa.com/directory to find a fellow ISSA member that can serve your needs.
NEW PURCHASING TOOL
This November, ISSA will launch the Beta test of its newest project: an online resource that helps purchasers compare cleaning chemicals based on their environmental, safety and health attributes, something that has never before been available for buyers to make more educated decisions.
ISSA is developing this new tool with Ecoform, the leading technical-analysis company in the United States that focuses on the environmental performance of companies and their products and processes.
This resource allows buyers to filter product options based on any number of attributes of greatest interest to their organization. The program has developed the following environmental attribute categories of chemical cleaners:
The individual metrics are being developed through the use of a work-group process, the results of which are then reviewed and vetted by the group's Core Development Committee, composed of key stakeholders, including health and environmental advocates, unions, state and federal government representatives, eco-label organizations, large and small cleaning-product manufacturers, contract cleaners, and institutional purchasers.
Be sure to attend the Tuesday morning seminar at ISSA/INTERCLEAN, "The Next Generation of Cleaning Product Labeling Programs," which will offer a sneak preview of the program's Beta version. You also can visit booth #1448 to find out more or sign up to become a Beta tester.
