Keynote Speeches A Big Draw For ISSA Show 2019
- ISSA Innovation Awards Worth The Wait
As to be expected at the ISSA Show, several big draws will be on hand to provide keynote presentations throughout the week. Kicking off the festivities on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. is "Opportunity Rocks: Rock Star Performance Equals Rock Star Results" featuring Opportunity Rocks president and world-touring speaker Marvelless Mark Kamp. As holder of an assortment of jobs throughout his career including insurance sales, radio and entrepreneurship, Kamp's rock-'n'-roll themed presentation will share plenty of perspective and four key principles for innovative success in business, applicable to all generations and businesses.
Later on Monday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., Founder and CEO of Student Maid Kristen Hadeed will host the "ISSA Lunch And Learn: Culture Eats Strategy For Breakfast." With a focus on accountability, transparency and employee morale, Hadeed will share the value of a firmly established work culture and why it should take priority over day-to-day concerns. Even with excellent protocol or equipment, an uninspired employee has a limited ceiling for productivity. As a global consultant for facility managers and entrepreneur in the commercial cleaning industry, Hadeed will share her insights — often bluntly — on how to avoid employee burnout and disengagement.
Headlining the educational sessions for Wednesday are Mark Herbick, CEO of Pursant LLC, and Tim Shea, managing director at Piper Jaffray & Co., presenting "M&A In The Jansan Sector" from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Both Shea and Herbick have an extensive history completing high-equity transactions in the jan/san sector. The seminar will dissect current market trends and how managers can identify the best buy-or-sell opportunities. Attendees will also gain insight on near-term market projections as it pertains to the industry.
The final keynote presentation will be "Technology For Tomorrow," a four-person expert panel on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. featuring Phil Duffy, vice president of innovation at Brain Corporation; Jon Hill, president at LaserClean Systems; Greg Scott, co-founder at Service Robotics & Technologies; and Brady Watkins, head of commercial automation at Softbank Robotics America. Each will bring unique perspectives on product development, research promotion or marketing to explain how technologies are simplifying tasks and shifting the roles of janitors. Attendees will also gain insight on promising product investments and how to best implement new practices and tools.
