Quality Plus Building Services CEO Discusses Path to Success
By Jake Meister, Managing Editor
Key Takeaways:
• Network consistently and keep pursuing new contracts.
• Adapt to change: Adjust your business to meet changing needs.
• Prioritize quality: Consistent service builds long-term customer loyalty.
Like in many aspects of life, the path to success in the professional cleaning industry isn't always obvious. Karla Carpio is proof of this.
A two-decade veteran of residential and commercial cleaning, Carpio started in the industry as a high school senior. She attended college to become a lawyer or detective and ultimately graduated with a bachelor's degree while working for that same employer. However, Carpio decided professional cleaning was her calling, and founded Quality Plus Building Services in 2006.
In this interview, CleanLink Managing Editor Jake Meister sits down with Carpio to discuss her career with Quality Plus Building Services, which started as a cleaning service for TV studios in California, was retooled to focus mostly on residential cleaning contracts, and eventually restructured to serve both types of customers.
