Touch-free devices have slowly but surely become a staple of contemporary restrooms. Not only do touchless devices look sleek and modern, coming in a variety of colors and material types to match any décor, but they also allow controlled product and water use — which translates into less waste and cost savings. While smaller facilities, and those with limited maintenance capacity, have been slow to adopt touch-free fixtures, there are some sectors in which touchless fixtures are the rule, not the exception. Higher-end commercial facilities that cater to a discerning clientele — such as Class-A offices, hotels, casinos, shopping malls, movie theatres — have become nearly completely touch-free. The automated dispensers are also popular in high-traffic facilities, such as airports, arenas and stadiums. Health care, educational and institutional facilities, which have a particular concern over cross-contamination, also benefit from touch-free restrooms.
