Green Cleaning: Going Green — A Step-by-Step Process

When the Kawartha Pine Ridge School District School Board in Peterborough, Ontario, decided it was time to go green, the district contacted several major North American jan/san manufacturers and distributors in order to evaluate their products.
 
“We tested their green-certified products in multiple school locations,” says Colin Munro, manager of operations for the district. “We also were looking for a manufacturer and distributor dedicated to Green cleaning that could help us with training and support.”
 
After several weeks of evaluation, one company’s offerings and dedication to green cleaning surfaced to the top: Enviro-Solutions.
 
“We encourage [prospective] clients to set up a ‘challenge,’ take their time and test the products in real-life situations,” says Mike Sawchuk, vice president of Enviro-Solutions. “The customer wants green cleaning products but they also must perform.”
 
When Enviro-Solutions’ products were tested, their performance proved exceptional, allowing the entire district to transfer to green cleaning in 2009.
