According to Matt Nelson with Excell Cleaning Supplies, a distributor for U.S. Products in Fort Meyers, Florida, many carpet cleaning technicians underestimate just how important the wand on their machine is for not only more effective cleaning but more productive cleaning as well.
 
That fact was borne out in the clearest of terms when U.S. Products asked the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) to reevaluate some of their high-performance, low-moisture carpet extractors.  The machines had already been honored with the Bronze Seal of Approval. However, U.S. Products thought a reevaluation could bring that up to Gold, the highest rating.
 
“The question on everyone’s mind is how could this happen if the extractors are exactly the same,” says Nelson. “The big change the company was making was in the wand. They wanted the machines retested with the company’s new Evolution wand.”
 
The Evolution “streamlines” airflow. In most wands, the airflow is turbulent, reducing performance. But airflow in the Evolution is laminar, making it smooth and uniform. The result is enhanced performance, significantly improving the vacuum performance of the extractor.
 
And the test results?
 
The same extractors were retested with the new Evolution wand and every one of them jumped from Bronze to the top of the class, the Gold certification. The Evolution wand made all the difference.
