Carpet Equipment: Gliding Into Easier Carpet Care
When DuPont developed Delrin® acetal after World War II, they were not sure what it could be used for.
But after investing heavily in research and development, DuPont found that Delrin acetal was extraordinarily durable, lightweight — and most importantly for carpet cleaning technicians — very low friction.
This means it glides over surfaces like carpets, reducing stress and worker fatigue. And that’s why Delrin is now used on the Evolution wand from U.S. Products.
“The Delrin coating makes the Evolution wand so easy to use,” says Rick Garcia, owner of Business Floor Specialists, Ft. Worth, TX. “The wand glides over the carpet — no more pulls, tugs, or snags.”
The Delrin glide is custom fit to the glide holder and is rotationally molded into the head of the Evolution wand. This gives it an airtight fit, which provides better water recovery on nearly any type of carpeted surface.
“It really helps improve worker productivity,” says Garcia. “And my guys like it so much, our old wands just sit in storage. Everyone wants to use the new Evolution.”
